Mental Health lessons we’ve learnt in 2020

2020 has been hard on us , by any means . But there was a lot of learning, self –realisations amidst this chaotic world . The pandemic has given us a new perspective on life!

Here’s a small compilation of what 2020 taught us from the lot.

1. You can adjust according to any situation but never change yourself for anybody in that process. Never hesitate to say “NO”.

2. You have all right to leave anyone whom you feel toxic. Be it friendship or anything, It’s better to walk out one day if you feel vulnerable around them . Trust me . You can make things work only when you’reat peace with someone.

3. You need not be productive always. Taking occasional breaks is normal. It can make you work with new speed.

4. Find a solace. Work on it. Make it your passion .

5. It’s important to have a “me-time”. Atleast half an hour a day. Go for a little stroll , listen to music or dance your heart out. Just do any crazy thing you love!

Hustle for your health

6. Having a fitness routine is a must. It brings a sense of discipline and also impacts your health in a good way.

7. “Your best friend is yourself and your best enemy is yourself “ .This beautiful quote is from Bhagavad Gita and its so real.

8. Do whatever you want. Let go of your apprehensions. If you wanna start something new, go for it without a second thought .

9. Having a growth mindset over fixed mindset will take you places

10. Practice gratitude. It’s the first step to attract good things from the universe.

11. Learn to be happy in your own personal space .Make yourself only partner.

Make yourself your best partner!

12. Solitude and loneliness are different . Lonliness becomes solitude when you make best use out of it .

13. Emotional independence is as important as financial independence. Never depend on anyone to share your emotions.

14. Never do anything against mother nature.Let’s grow plants, harm less and be in harmony with nature.

15. Accept yourself as you are. Accept others as they are. Fat, Slim, Dark , Fair all of us have same heart . Never shame anybody.

16. Social media is different from reality . Never let that fantasy world make you feel low.

17. Stand for the truth. Even if you’re alone.

Truth over anything.

18. Therapy is normal. Crying is normal. Venting out is normal . None of these makes you lunatic . Poisonous people, people who judge.Stay Cool!

19. Strength>Sympathy.

When some one goes through tough time give them strength .Nobody needs sympathy. It puts them down like you’ve never imagined. Tell them “I’m so sure you’d get back strong ” instead of “I’m so sorry for you to go through this”.

20. Toxic people are those who questions your decisions . Who make you doubt it . Who constantly tells you that you’ve chosen a wrong path. Leave them. You are your greatest strength.You can make anything work! Keep going and outshine them!

21. Self-love , prioritizing ,are some of the most sought after skills to SURVIVE today.

22. Never plan things! Accept the positives coming towards you and that makes you happy !

23. Disagreeing with some one dosen’t mean you should hate them .

Let’s agree to disagree!

24. Never feel bad if you couldn’t accomplish something . Just work on it . Keep trying. You’d get there one day.

25. Having a detox once a while is so important these days!

26. Best of you comes out when you’re in pressure.

27. Never let your past keep you vibing!

28. Either you should live or survive. There’s no going back!

29. Damages are half baked for ones who have strong hope.

30. Everything is transient except Change . Anything can happen anytime

From impossible to being unstoppable . Just keep hustling!

31. From impossible, to unstoppable. That’s how the graph must go.

32. No matter where you’ve been or how far you’ve gone there’d always be further more to go!

We’ve learnt enough in 2020 that its high time to start implementing them now ! Let’s hope for a positive 2021 and keep going !!
